Washington, DC, 15 May 2022 - Demonstrators gather at the Washington Monument to commemorate the 74th Nakba and to condemn the killing of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu-Aqla, who was shot by an Israeli forces sniper in Jenin. Shireen's chilling murder is a reminder of the terrorizing conditions that reporters in the occupied territories work under. Protestors expressed frustration towards the U.S. support for Israel, which not only includes a wide political indifference towards the Palestinian cause, but also extensive military support for the state of Israel.
